Dubai has begun the implementation of one of the most ambitious development projects in the emirate’s history — Mercedes-Benz Places | Binghatti City, with total investments estimated at more than $8.1 billion.
The project is positioned as the world’s first city under the Mercedes-Benz brand and is being developed by Binghatti in the Nad Al Sheba area. It represents the next stage of the partnership between Binghatti and Mercedes-Benz, which was previously introduced through a single branded skyscraper in central Dubai.
According to the announced parameters, the development will cover an area of approximately 930,000 sq. m. Construction is planned in three phases, with full completion expected in around 3.5 years.
The master plan includes 12 residential high-rise towers arranged around a central landmark — the Vision Iconic tower, which will rise to approximately 341 meters. The remaining 11 towers will be positioned in a cascading layout, gradually decreasing in height away from the central structure. In total, the complex will comprise more than 13,000 residential units.
According to the developer, the project will include 13,386 apartments, ranging from studios to five-bedroom residences and penthouses. The unit mix includes:
• more than 6,300 studios
• around 5,000 one-bedroom apartments
• over 1,600 two-bedroom apartments
• 431 three-bedroom units
• a limited number of four- and five-bedroom residences
Starting prices for residential units are reported to begin at approximately $435,000 for a studio.
The architectural concept is based on the Mercedes-Benz Sensual Purity design philosophy, translating key elements of automotive design into an urban environment. The towers will be named after Mercedes-Benz concept cars, while interiors will feature signature color schemes, premium materials and integrated smart technology systems.
The central public space of the district will be the Grand Promenade — a landscaped pedestrian boulevard with walking routes, water features and leisure areas. Residents will have access to swimming pools, sports and fitness clubs, yoga and wellness zones, jogging tracks, event spaces and concierge services. Special emphasis is placed on electric vehicle infrastructure and sustainable mobility solutions.
