Taraf was launched in January 2023 as a real estate developer backed by Yas Holding of Abu Dhabi. The company is led by CEO Ahmad Shibel.
Its first project, Luce on Palm Jumeirah — 38 apartments on nine floors, worth over AED 350 million — sold out at launch in 2023. In 2024 Taraf launched Karl Lagerfeld Villas in Meydan, 51 villas with five to seven bedrooms.
Taraf also develops Cello Residences in Jumeirah Village Circle and Terra Golf Collection in Jumeirah Golf Estates, and in Abu Dhabi it broke ground on W Residences on Al Maryah Island.
